Sum 41 is a rock band that formed in Ajax, Ont. with Deryck Whibley (vocals, guitar), Dave Baksh (guitar), Jason "Cone" McCaslin (bass) and Steve Jocz (drums). The group formed in 1996, 41 days into the summer before its members entered grade 12.

Albert Grey, 4th Earl Grey

Albert Henry George Grey, 4th Earl Grey, governor general of Canada from 1904 to 1911 (born 28 November 1851 in London, United Kingdom; died 29 August 1917 in Howick, Northumberland, United Kingdom). Rock group 54.40 was formed in Tsawassen, BC, in 1979 by former high school classmates Neil Osborne (vocals, guitar) and Brad Merritt (bass). The group took its name from the slogan "54.40 or Fight!," coined in 1848 by US president James Polk for a Manifest Destiny movement that believed the Canada-US border should be moved north to the 54th parallel, 40th minute (the present-day border of Canada and Alaska).
