Arthur Franklin (Primary Source)
Dr. Arthur Franklin served as a navigator with No. 418 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force in a de Havilland Mosquito multi-role aircraft, flying over 30 sorties. Due to their experience, he and pilot Harold Lisson were selected to conduct high-risk operations, including dropping supplies to the French Resistance and escorting Avro Lancaster bombers of No. 617 Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF), “The Dambusters,” during Operation CHASTISE (The Dambuster Raid).
